Heading back Home...

My son and I are flying back to the part of the country we love today.  We can't wait to be greeted by our favorite cowboy, loved ones and to take in all the sights, sounds, smells and delicious food of which we are so fond. Texas has sooo much to offer.  Spending time at the Gulf Coast watching my son fishing in the bay and eating fresh fried oysters will make me so very happy.  Two of his favorite things.  Playing with my grandson and sharing a meal with my daughter. Very proud to also be watching my eldest son graduate from the police academy.  The comfort of being in my parents home talking over a fine glass of red wine with them and visiting with my siblings. The wildflowers, the storms that roll in, to sit by a creek and listen to the frogs and water trickle over the granite rocks and the warm backroads that invite you to follow them with a cooler in the truck bed and time on a tailgate.  All of these things in the beautiful setting of the Texas Hill Country is everything that brings joy to my soul. And yes, I will bring back more pictures from this great state!
